Journal Entry #4: April 10, 2003

Yo! What the hell is going on on the message board??? Eddyspeeder rules! But King Of The Mountain is not about apes!

Today was an amazing news day. It was incredible to see how the people in Iraq are reacting to their newfound freedom...there is a long way to go but I guess you gotta start somewhere. I wonder if rock bands will start going to Iraq to tour in the future. I have been following the war so closely that I feel confident that I would be able to route a tour through Iraq. If you are in a band and you want to play Baghdad or Umm Qasr...let me know. I am your man!

So I am newly unemployed...which is interesting. I have had a job since we got back from touring for Secret Life "IN THE YEAR 2000." I was working at a design firm in Santa Monica. I will miss my friends at work...we had a really cool family kinda thing happening. I am excited about having more time to play drums. I am also going to try to spend a lot of time on my mountain bike. I have been trying to get Gus to go on a ride with me for about 2 years now. He will not leave his couch or his ŠJohn Madden 2003 Football game on his computer unless we have a show or he is going to some estate sale. If you think that Gus should go riding with me, please send him an e-mail at gus@portablemusic.com.  I think that he is scared to wear those tight black cycling pants. I think that he would look very natural in them. For the record...I don't wear those tight pants when I am riding....only at Portable rehearsals.

The show at the Gig on Saturday night is shaping up to be a pretty good show. I think that our set is going to be really cool...Good flow! If you haven't signed up for the discount list, please do so by going back to the first page of the website and sign up.

That's all for now. See ya on Saturday night!
