Hi...what a weekend. First, I have to say that the show on Saturday night was awesome. I would have to say that it was possibly one of the most fun shows we have played in LA. Thanks to the drummer in The Kuffs (who is a cool band that played after us) for letting me borrow his bass drum pedal. The crowd was great and I loved playing a lot of the old songs again. For those of you who weren't there...we haven't played "Restraint" about a year. We (especially I) rocked it about as hard as it gets on Saturday night. Thanks to everyone that came out to see us especially the folks that came from OC and SD...you guys will never know how much we appreciate you support. Sheecaah rules for always being right in front...On Sunday night I played percussion for Chris and Kristin Stills along with our good friend Chris McClure at Tangier in Los Feliz. They have a singer/songwriter night there almost every Sunday that is a cool hang. It is free to get in and there are some great people that play there....maybe Portable will play an acoustic set there sometime in the future. Anyway...after the show we went back to the house and played poker til about 2am...the benefits of not having to go to work were quite rewarding. That's all for me... Brian Brian@portablemusic.com |
